5. Legal Basis for Processing

5.3 Legal Obligation. betr is required by law to process certain personal data to comply with Philippine gaming regulations, anti-money laundering obligations, and tax reporting requirements. Such processing occurs regardless of consent.

5.4 Legitimate Interests. betr processes certain data on the basis of legitimate interests, including fraud prevention, platform security, responsible gaming monitoring, and aggregate analytics for service improvement — provided such interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms.

6.3 Fraud Prevention and Security. betr may share data with industry fraud prevention services or gaming regulators where necessary to detect, prevent, or report fraudulent activity, cheating, collusion, or other unlawful conduct.

6.4 Business Transfers. In the event that betr undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of its assets, your personal information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same privacy protections described in this Policy.

7.2 Despite these measures, no data transmission over the internet and no method of data storage is completely secure. betr cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your betr account credentials and for promptly notifying betr of any suspected unauthorized account access.

7.3 Data Breach Response. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to cause significant harm to affected players, betr will notify the National Privacy Commission and affected players within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

8.1 betr retains your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable law.

8.2 Active Accounts. Personal data associated with active betr accounts is retained for the duration of the account relationship plus an additional five (5) years following account closure, to comply with anti-money laundering record-keeping requirements under Philippine law.

8.3 KYC and Identity Verification Documents. Copies of identity documents and KYC verification records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of last activity on the account, as required by Philippine anti-money laundering regulations.

8.4 Transaction Records. Financial transaction records (deposits, withdrawals, bets) are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of the transaction, as required for regulatory audit and tax compliance purposes.

8.5 Marketing Data. If you have opted in to marketing communications, your contact preferences are retained until you opt out. Upon opt-out, your marketing preferences are updated immediately, though you may continue to receive transactional communications related to your account.

8.6 Inactive Accounts. Accounts that have been inactive (no login or gameplay) for a continuous period of three (3) years may have their personal data anonymized, subject to applicable legal retention obligations.

10.1 betr uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, maintain your login session, and analyze Platform usage patterns.

10.2 Types of Cookies We Use:

• Essential Cookies: Required for the Platform to function. These enable login sessions, transaction processing, and security features. They cannot be disabled without impairing Platform functionality.
• Analytical Cookies: Used to understand how players use betr — which pages are visited most, where users encounter errors, and how sessions flow. Data is aggregated and anonymized.

11.2 betr is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party payment processors, app stores, or other external services you may access independently in connection with your use of betr (for example, accessing your GCash app to fund your betr deposit). 12. Children's Privacy

12.1 The betr Platform is strictly intended for persons aged 21 years and older. betr does not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 21.

12.2 If betr becomes aware that it has collected personal information from a person under the age of 21 without verified parental or guardian consent, betr will take immediate steps to delete that information and close the associated account.
